The Maker

Krysta Mae.

Krysta Mae creates sculptural ceramic works informed by nature, travel, and visual culture. A world traveler, mother of two, and event planner, her practice is shaped by a deep appreciation for small, fleeting moments: the way sunlight reflects across clouds, the texture of rock surfaces, the quiet curve of a coastal road.

Each piece is shaped by place, grounded in material, and held in stillness. Working in clay, she distills impressions of landscape and movement into tactile forms that feel both familiar and abstract. Her work invites pause: objects shaped by place, studies in form and stillness, designed for considered spaces.

II. My Process

Letting the clay
lead the way.

Each piece begins with a quiet moment at the wheel or the table, where time slows and touch takes over. Through repetition and intuition, form begins to surface. I work in small batches, letting the clay lead, allowing the process to unfold.

“Slight variations are markers of presence. It's in those subtle shifts, the tilt of a rim, the drag of a fingertip, that personality emerges, and the soul of the piece comes through.”

These pieces are made to be used: held, shared, lived with. They're quiet companions to everyday rituals, carrying both function and feeling.

Her pieces are designed to move fluidly between the simple and the ceremonial, whether that's a casual Tuesday dinner or a festive holiday brunch.

Versatile by design,
distinctive in use.

Each piece is thoughtfully crafted to balance function and beauty: versatile enough for everyday use, yet distinctive enough to elevate any occasion. Like your favorite pair of jeans, each piece is designed to feel natural, familiar, and effortlessly stylish, bringing comfort, character, and timeless appeal to your table.
